To anyone with the faintest familiarity with the topic of the UFO Phenomenon, it is well understood that a central and longstanding aspect of this phenomenon involves not just sightings of unexplained manifestations in the skies above our heads, but also contact and communication between human beings and supposed intelligent entities from elsewhere – and perhaps even “elsewhen”, as what we might perceive as movement through time might be as commonplace for them as what we perceive as movement through space.
That said, as much as both monologues and dialogues are a key aspect of this entire endeavor, the manner of communication has been decidedly varied, even though there are some key components that repeat themselves time and time again. In terms of the differences, sometimes the messages are delivered in a linear, chain-of-thought kind of way – somewhat akin to how human beings communicate with each other.
Other times, entire bodies of knowledge just suddenly, for lack of a better word, “arrive” in the mind of the contactee. These so-called “downloads” are astonishing because, unlike computer files streaming from a server, for instance, these packets of information seem to be instantaneous, no matter how vast the data being received is. And these downloads often can overwhelm the recipient, in the sense that sometimes these involve technical information that the individual doesn’t have the capacity to understand, often leading them to seek out others who do.
I mentioned there are also key components that repeat themselves time and time again when we look across the body of data obtained regarding the literature behind the UFO Phenomenon. A key aspect, that appears almost every time we hear of supposed contact between these Others and human beings, is that of telepathy: mind to mind communication, that bypasses the need to speech altogether.
One should note here, however, that often the kind of telepathy reported between human beings and aliens is of a much more robust nature than types reported between two human beings, for instance. When telepathy occurs between people, information still tends to be chained together, piece by piece, in linear fashion, and shared directly, mind to mind. In the cast of alien to human communication, however, the nature of the communication often involves much more than simply ideas or “thought-forms”, but also rich, multi-faceted elements of emotion. So much so that “total presence telepathy” might be a better way to describe this particular kind of communication.
Another key piece of the communication between the Others and human beings that occurs with striking regularity is the nature of the messages themselves. Repeated elements include concern for the trajectory of human civilization, concern over our disproportionate rate of growth in technology when compared with our snail’s pace growth in consciousness, concern over our seeming negligence in caring for the planet that is home to not only us, but countless animal species (and perhaps even to beings living in some kind of shadow biom – beyond the parameters of normal human perception), and concern with our overall propensity towards violence and aggression within our own species.
Without a doubt, the revelations that have emerged in this particular arena, are amongst the most compelling and the most telling of the entire UFO Phenomenon. What do both the nature of the messages received, as well as the fascinating manner in which they are communicated to us tell us about, tell us about these apparently non-human, alien intelligences? These are the matters we’ll seek to engage with in this, the 41st episode of the Point of Convergence Podcast.
